Megan and Max are a sweet and creative California couple who made an all star pivot for their wedding, due to COVID, and had a gorgeous beach micro wedding. Megan (who designed her own dress, did her own makeup, and even executed the florals!) explains that, “There was no planner or florist. It was just our closest friends and family so everyone really pitched in to make it happen. That is never how I imaged my wedding, but it’s covid and we had to adapt quickly. It ended up making the event feel like a real team effort and success. We definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without everyone.”
Captured by the adventurous and sweet Emily Jenks, the ceremony began on Stewarts Cove, and “After the ceremony we had cocktail hour on the beach before heading back to the Sea View Inn for our reception. All our guests left and we took a few last photos with Emily, our photographer. We had forgotten to think about our way back to the Inn and Emily ended up giving us a ride to the reception. The whole thing was so organic and relaxed. It was a super special day.”
In spite of their needing to defer plan B, it was no less special and there were memorable moments throughout the day. “My parents were unable to attend due to Covid so Max and I actually walked to the venue together. It was about a mile walk to Stewarts Cove from The Sea View in and one of the best walks of my life. It was great to have a calm moment together as we approached the beach where we were about to become husband and wife. We walked down the aisle together, barefoot.”
